Democrats Headed For Trainwreck With Hillary Clinton

Mon Oct 22, 2007 at 06:26:51 PM PDT

She is getting so much support because she is the media favorite. The other key candidates (like Edwards) can't get the same TV time. Other candidates have almost been shut out of the process already.

This is one of the reasons why election reform is needed... this is one of the areas that needs to be fixed (media coverage). Candidates should get equal time, whether it's radio, TV, or online ads.

There is no way that this woman is electable in a General election. She is the wrong candidate...especially when Dems will have to flip a couple of Purple States in order to win... Ohio, Missouri, Florida, Tennessee, Nevada, etc... and keep what they won in 2000 and 2004. Hillary Clinton is the worst person they could recruit to pull this off.

Her negatives are extremely high (according to Rasmussen, pollingreport, & all the major polling organizations, etc). In a recent Zogby survey, 50% of those polled indicated that they would never vote for Hillary.

John Edwards would make a much better challenger to the GOP in the general election, with relatively low negatives (meaning Americans have not made up their minds on him yet....he has room to gain a lot of voters....esp. independents). Independents will decide the next election... just like they do most of the time. We are the tie breakers in a deeply divided Country. And Independents are not crazy about Hillary.

With the way things are going I think we will be looking at President Romney, Giuliani or MCCain in a little over a year from now. Within the first year of a Giuliani or McCain administration.... we really could be looking at WWIII. An attack against Iran would be a foregone conclusion. Romney would likely do the same.

But then again... even if Hillary Clinton wins the general election by some miracle... her foreign policy would not be much different from that of the Republican candidates. She's a pro-war Democrat (Just like her husband). Her recent vote to label Irans Revolutionary Guard as a terrorist organization helped lay the groundwork for U.S. military action against Iran (under the guise of fighting "terrorism"). I have no doubt that Hillary would launch a war against Iran. That's if Cheney doesn't get his way first. When/if Cheney & Co. get criticized for launching an attack on Iran, they will be able to say... "hey, Iran was harboring this terrorist group". The Clinton vote also gives Cheney & Co. the green light to attack without any new Congressional authorization. They will now claim that an attack has already been authorized under the previous Congressional authorizations that came after 9/11, which gave the President broad powers to attack "terrorists".

Now Hillary is trying to back away from her vote, claiming that she was really pushing for more diplomacy.NONSENSE! This is the same thing that she said after her Iraq vote... that she actually thought that Bush was going to use the authorization for diplomacy. Hillary was telling a boldfaced lie! Everyone knew what the Iraq vote meant... everyone knew it was a green light to go to war with Iraq...not for diplomacy. Why did everyone else know but her? This either says that she is a liar... or she is unaware of what is going on around her. Neither trait is good for a potential President.

Yet Democrats are happy about this largely unelectable candidate representing their Party. Is it because the Democratic field is so weak that she is your best bet... or is it because you have allowed the media to make this choice for you? Democrats are like blind sheep...smiling as they are walking right to their theoretical graves. It seems the more she lies (& openly lies) to them, the more Democrats want to support her....rather than challenge her on her positions.

A Hillary Clinton victory would also mean that we would be ruled by the same 2 families for 3 decades straight. Is that Democracy?

Americans have lived under a sort of quasi-dictatorship for so long  (under the false title of Democracy) that Americans don't even know what Democracy actually means or feels like. They have no point of reference. The dreaded 2-Party system will always mean a choice between the lesser of two evils.

You have to go to Canada, South America or Europe to see what an actual Democracy looks like.

I would say that I will laugh my butt off when Hillary loses to a Republican... but it really won't be a laughing matter. A Republican victory means more war, more people will die... and we will see a Bush administration on steroids. Many of the neo-con war strategists who left the Bush camp...have now adopted Giuliani as their man. And regardless of which Republican gets in... I am sure that the neo-cons will be there.

Then again, a Hillary Clinton victory will also be a tragedy. The foreign policy of this Country will remain in tatters under another Clinton administration... and we will not be much further from war with Iran (And who knows what other country) under her mis-leadership.
